Neighborhood Spotlight: Spring Hill, TN

As we all know, Nashville's population is growing faster than ever. As I did my research, I found out that about 80-100 people are moving to Nashville daily! As more and more people discover all that Nashville has to offer, the housing market is getting tighter, and home prices are getting higher. That's why we've chosen Spring Hill, Tennessee, to be featured in our neighborhood spotlight this week. According to The University of Tennessee, Spring Hill cracked the top 10 list at #10 for one of the Nation's fastest-growing cities and #3 for the fastest-growing city in Middle Tennessee. Spring Hill is an excellent suburb just south of Nashville that offers all the benefits of city living without the high price tag. It's a growing community with plenty of new construction, but it still has that small-town feel.


Education

Spring Hill sits in two counties, Maury County and Williamson County, giving you many options. Williamson County is home to some of the best schools in the state. If you have school-aged children, they can attend top-rated schools such as Thompson Station High School, Long View Elementary, and Spring Station Middle School. There are several excellent choices for private schooling options, including Battle Ground Academy, Columbia Academy, Heritage Christian Academy, and Zion Christian Academy.

Job Market

The job market in Spring Hill is booming! With the city's close proximity to Nashville, many companies are choosing to open satellite offices in Spring Hill. This has created a ton of new jobs in recent years. The top industries in Spring Hill are healthcare, retail, and manufacturing. Healthcare is one of the biggest employers in Spring Hill, with over 12% of the workforce employed in the industry. Retail is also a large employer, with over 11% of the workforce employed in retail jobs. Manufacturing rounds out the top three, with just under 11% of the workforce employed in manufacturing jobs. If you're looking for a job in Spring Hill, you'll have no problem finding something that's a good fit.


A few key industries bolster Spring Hill's economy. The area is home to significant plant operations for both General Motors and Nissan, which supports several secondary supply companies. Additionally, Magna, a manufacturing company, has a plant in Spring Hill that employs around 500 people assembling automotive seats. As healthcare is another significant industry in the region, there are multiple hospitals and clinics within Spring Hill. Together, these businesses provide employment and economic stability for the area.


Things to Do in Spring Hill

There are plenty of things to do in Spring Hill, whether you're a nature lover, foodie, or enjoy shopping. For the outdoorsy types, there are several parks, including Harvey Park, Port Royal Park, and Williamson County Recreation Complex. If you're looking for a challenge, try out Adventureworks - an aerial adventure park featuring zip lines and rope courses. Or take a leisurely stroll through Rippavilla Plantation - a historic site that offers tours of the grounds as well as event rentals.
